Who we are
United Internet brings together strong brands such as 1&1, GMX, WEB.DE, IONOS and Strato under one roof.
Around 10.500 employees develop future-proof, independent digital products and services that are used by millions of people every day.
Innovation, responsibility and sustainable growth are at the heart of what we do.
We are signatories to the Diversity Charter and are committed to a diverse and inclusive working environment. To raise awareness and create opportunities for dialogue and learning, we make use of e-learning courses, regular exchanges, networking events and workshops. A highlight: our Diversity Days – a multi-day internal conference that injects strong momentum into the organization. For this initiative we were awarded the "Impact of Diversity Award" in the "Best Company" category.
We are actively working to increase the proportion of women in the company, particularly in leadership roles. This commitment is central to our career development approach. As a member of the "Initiative Klischeefrei", we take action at an early stage to challenge gender-stereotypical role models, even before the decision to pursue an apprenticeship or a degree is made.
We strengthen our female employees’ career paths through individual development and networking programmes. In addition, we highlight female leadership role models both internally and externally. Many of them support their female colleagues as dedicated mentors and assist them in shaping their careers.
We create the right conditions to help our employees strike the best possible balance between family and work. Schemes such as trust-based working hours, remote working and part-time management roles provide the flexibility needed to accommodate different life circumstances. Through our Employee Assistance Program, our employees also receive support at every stage of life. This includes services such as emergency childcare, homework support, advice on parental allowance and childcare, and much more.
Internal exchange forums, networking events and talks promote connections and the sharing of best practices, and help to foster a culture of work-life balance.
For us, inclusion means breaking down barriers step by step and creating a working environment in which people with disabilities and neurodivergent individuals can contribute their strengths. The foundation for this is our Inclusion Action Plan, which strategically bundles our measures ranging from awareness-raising to physical and digital accessibility.
Through our "Safe Space Network" for those affected, as well as a central point of contact for inclusion, we offer confidential support and personalized advice. At the same time, we are continuously developing accessibility and promoting awareness and understanding through talks, workshops and training sessions.

Supporting women
One aspect of our package is a programme designed to support women. It helps participants to build on their strengths in a targeted way, increase their visibility and actively prepare for future roles. For this initiative we were granted the "HR Excellence Award".

Networking
A strong network as our foundation. Through cross-functional, internal conferences and events, we create opportunities throughout the year to learn from one another and continually expand our knowledge through internal and external speakers.
Our programme also support the principle of "by employees, for employees" – everyone is warmly invited to share their own knowledge and experiences.
United Internet offers a wide range of career opportunities. Every application is welcome and offers the opportunity to work together to further develop the digital world.
