An apprenticeship at United Internet is unique. We work with you to organize your professional training so that you get the most out of your apprenticeship. Our aim is to hire you on a permanent basis afterwards and develop you into a specialist or manager. For several years now, we have also been consciously and very successfully training people with refugee backgrounds.
A wide range of brands, products and topics
Your training will be as varied as United Internet itself. Depending on the opportunities available at each location, you will be able to get a taste of a wide variety of specialist areas and explore different brand worlds, working methods and technologies. Whether it is email, 5G mobile networks or the latest servers – it certainly never gets boring here. Cross-departmental training projects and, of course, time spent at vocational college or the dual university round off the content covered in the specialist departments.
How the apprenticeship works
Our training and degree programmes last three years. Apprentices alternate between vocational school and the workplace on a daily or weekly basis, whilst students alternate between theoretical and practical phases every three months. The theoretical course content is taught at the Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg in Karlsruhe, Mannheim or Stuttgart, depending on the subject.
We devote the first year of the training programme to the fundamentals. Depending on your profession, you will practise programming, train in professional customer communication or carry out complex data analyses. In the second and third years, depending on your location, you can then deepen your knowledge in areas of your profession that you have chosen yourself and change departments every three to six months. In the final phase of your training, we work with you to prepare you for your future role and get you ready to start your career with us.

Which application documents do I need?
Your application should always include your CV, a cover letter and your last school report.
Additional documents (if available), such as certificates of voluntary work, qualification certificates or internship confirmations are also very helpful. What do I need to provide?
We are looking for curious people who are interested in more than just the bare exam material. If you are eager to learn and full of energy, you have arrived at the right place. For your study course as well as for any kind of professional training, you should have the respective talents - and these differ on the profession you choose.

Which kind of academic degree do I need?
A high school diploma is not required for an apprenticeship with us. You are also welcome to apply with a lower secondary school leaving certificate. In the end, what counts just as much is your motivation, your personality and how you can convince us in the job interview.
For a study course at the DHBW you certainly need a high school diploma. If you have any other kind of university entrance qualification, you must first take a study aptitude test at the DHBW. We would be happy to advise you on this.

What happens after my application?
Even before you start your training, we would like to be sure that we can really offer you the kind of job you will be happy with. That is why we want to get to know you as much as possible.
If your application documents have convinced us, we will invite you to an initial interview to meet you. In this meeting you can find out more about our trainings or studies, about your specific training departments and the tasks involved. And then, as soon as you and we are sure, we conclude the study or training contract with each other.
