At IONOS Group, Europe’s leading digitalisation partner for small and medium-sized businesses and trusted cloud enabler, we are looking for an experienced and visionary Senior Manager Global Event Marketing (Team Lead) to lead our international event marketing function.
In this role, you will define and drive the global event strategy for all IONOS Group brands, manage a diverse portfolio of in-person and digital formats, and ensure flawless, results-oriented execution across all live communication activities. You will act as the central point of contact for event marketing and lead our dedicated event team.

Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, develop and coach the Event Marketing team, fostering a culture of operational excellence and collaboration.

End-to-End Event Ownership
- Own end-to-end planning and delivery for all major international live communication projects – from trade shows and conferences to customer, partner and thought leadership events.
- Expand and optimise our digital formats, including webinars, virtual summits and hybrid experiences.
Process & Governance
- Safeguard the internal event process: from roadmap planning through procurement, briefing, project management and lead flow & follow-up.
- Act as process gatekeeper for procurement, invoicing and corporate identity guidelines across all live communication touchpoints.
Stakeholder Management
- Lead cross-functional global project teams and manage key internal stakeholders such as Sales, Product, Partner Management, Brand and Communications.
- Select and manage agencies, vendors and external partners, ensuring high-quality execution and compliance.
Budget & Performance Management
- Own event budget allocation, forecasting and financial reporting.
- Negotiate purchasing and production costs and ensure high ROI for all event activities.
- Define, track and optimise event KPIs (e.g. pipeline contribution, lead quality and volume, reach, ROI, satisfaction scores).
Qualifications
- Several years of professional experience in event project management, ideally in the tech, SaaS, cloud or hosting industry with a strong B2B focus.
- Proven leadership experience as a direct team lead and/or through managing cross-functional project teams.
- Strong understanding of lead generation, brand building and measurable event KPIs.
- Excellent communication skills in German and English (written and spoken).
- Highly structured, process-driven working style with hands-on experience in tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, CVENT or similar event/CRM platforms.
- Strong organisational, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-brand and international environment; willingness to travel for key events.
Benefits
- A collaborative and innovative work environment with open structures and flat hierarchies.
- The opportunity to shape and elevate the event discipline in one of Europe’s most future-oriented tech industries.
