Your Tasks

Are you passionate about software development and IT security? Do you have experience in application development, automation, and infrastructure? Are you interested in IT security, curious, and naturally inclined to continually educate yourself on both general technical and security-specific topics? Then join us as a (Junior) Security Engineer with a focus on software development and automation! Here, you will become part of our Security Engineering Team and contribute to making Germany's leading email and cloud providers, WEB.DE and GMX, even more secure.

• You will drive strategic initiatives such as DevSecOps and Secure Product Lifecycle independently, always keeping your stakeholders in mind.
• You will design concepts and develop tools that sustainably increase our security level.
• You will simplify processes and reduce development effort by automating manual tasks.
• You will further develop existing systems, operate them, and propose continuous improvement suggestions.

You have completed a technical degree or a comparable education and have several years of experience in software development, ideally with a focus on IT security. You have a quick grasp of concepts and are always seeking even better solutions. You enjoy working hands-on, are a genuine team player, and thrive in a dynamic and complex environment. • You possess a strong engineering mindset: problem-solving and continuous optimization are your passions.Your extensive technical knowledge spans across REST APIs, databases, protocols, operating systems, and distributed web applications.
• You have experience with Python and JavaScript and enjoy working with various programming languages.
• You have hands-on experience with concepts and technologies such as DevOps, CI/CD, IaaS, or Kubernetes. Keeping yourself updated is second nature to you.
• You have some experience with security topics such as vulnerability analysis, SAST, DAST, secure coding, or hardening.
• You are a true team player who leads by example at all times. You can communicate confidently in English and efficiently manage projects and stakeholders even in stressful situations.
