Change in Management Board of 1&1 Internet SE – Eric Tholomé to take over as CEO

Karlsruhe, September 19, 2017. Management change at 1&1 Internet SE: Google manager Eric Tholomé is to take over as CEO of Europe’s leading web hoster on October 1. He succeeds Robert Hoffmann, who served eleven years on the Management Board of 1&1 Internet, five of which as CEO of 1&1 Internet SE and Member of the Board for Business Applications at United Internet AG. Robert Hoffmann chose not to extend his contract again and will leave the company on December 31, 2017 to pursue new entrepreneurial challenges.

Eric Tholomé can look back on a long and successful career in the New Economy. He has been developing and marketing software, hardware and digital solutions at various companies for more than 25 years. From 2007 onward, Mr. Tholomé worked for Google in Switzerland and Silicon Valley in a variety of management positions. Over the past five years, he was also responsible for Google’s largest development center outside the USA with over 2,000 employees in Zurich.
